If you've known me even a short while (especially in person), you're probably aware of my love for fluorescent colors. And fluorescent yellow with the drop or two of green is right at the top!
Last night, I came across a photo of Kaley Cuoco in her amazing Emmys dress by Vera Wang (I hate awards shows so I wasn't even aware the Emmys were this past weekend).
After years of what seems like everyone wearing what I call "naked dresses" to every red carpet event - finally some exciting color! I think the behind the scenes shots of Kaley getting ready are probably the most true to life color of the fluorescent taffeta, and then the ones taken at the event ended up getting toned down a bit by those photographers.
But oh my goodness, I love this soooo much!

We broke for lunch and then came back with a portal ac unit plugged in to an extention cord from the house. Can't wait until they finished hooking up all the electrical and we have the mini split cooling the room for us - it was stupid humid today! #SewingStudioBuild

I'm kind of surprised I have to sign up for emails (not sure if I want to yet) considering how many companies sell email lists.
I finally finished the patchwork jeans! @SewBrooke , the elastic in the waistband suggestion worked brilliantly. I ended up taking it as close to the button/buttonholes as I could, because the waistband I originally picked had the buttons on the wrong side and I had to piece it together/the second waistband was also collapsed in from wear. I really don’t know why, I checked against all of my jeans and I did put the fly on the correct side! Anyway, it’s done, and I’ll be happy to come up with a project that takes much less time. After I clean up the leftover bits— it looks like I used 7 pairs of jeans/shorts, so I have a lot of tops and leftover leg/waistband scraps!
