... it has been two and a half years since I had my hands inside Dior dresses helping set up for a big museum exhibit! These were the first two dresses I put on mannequins (the fluffy red wrap/train was put on by someone else after it was placed in the exhibit upstairs of where we dressed everything).
I wish I could post some of the photos of the insides I have (I'm still surprised they let us photograph whatever we wanted as long as we didn't post online), but I will gladly tell you what I can and show you the photos in person if we ever meet up.

I started cutting all the edges while Janet was away yesterday morning. When she got back after lunch, she pulled out a roller and started filling in. I'll put a pic below in the comments. #SewingStudioBuild
We broke for lunch and then came back with a portal ac unit plugged in to an extention cord from the house. Can't wait until they finished hooking up all the electrical and we have the mini split cooling the room for us - it was stupid humid today! #SewingStudioBuild
More on the Michael's purchase of JoAnn. "Ever-expanding" plus it went on to say they will be carrying sewing machines, notions, and thread in stores. And there was a 50% off one item coupon - let me know if any of you need that.
I'm kind of surprised I have to sign up for emails (not sure if I want to yet) considering how many companies sell email lists.
I finally finished the patchwork jeans! @SewBrooke , the elastic in the waistband suggestion worked brilliantly. I ended up taking it as close to the button/buttonholes as I could, because the waistband I originally picked had the buttons on the wrong side and I had to piece it together/the second waistband was also collapsed in from wear. I really don’t know why, I checked against all of my jeans and I did put the fly on the correct side! Anyway, it’s done, and I’ll be happy to come up with a project that takes much less time. After I clean up the leftover bits— it looks like I used 7 pairs of jeans/shorts, so I have a lot of tops and leftover leg/waistband scraps!
