Remember that mirror I mentioned hanging in the studio last weekend (and I forgot to take photos of)? Last Thursday, Janet and I made a frame for it to dress it up and to cover the broken corner & edges that were missing the silver backing. We used 5" crown molding trim and a French cleat to hang it. We'll paint and finish the corners properly later, but it was nice to have up for a fitting Janet needed to do on Friday.
I did the same thing with the large mirror I have in my living room at home but mine was made with 7" crown molding - a width that doesn't seem to exist at regular home improvement stores almost 20 years later (see last photo).

I started cutting all the edges while Janet was away yesterday morning. When she got back after lunch, she pulled out a roller and started filling in. I'll put a pic below in the comments. #SewingStudioBuild
We broke for lunch and then came back with a portal ac unit plugged in to an extention cord from the house. Can't wait until they finished hooking up all the electrical and we have the mini split cooling the room for us - it was stupid humid today! #SewingStudioBuild

I'm kind of surprised I have to sign up for emails (not sure if I want to yet) considering how many companies sell email lists.
I finally finished the patchwork jeans! @SewBrooke , the elastic in the waistband suggestion worked brilliantly. I ended up taking it as close to the button/buttonholes as I could, because the waistband I originally picked had the buttons on the wrong side and I had to piece it together/the second waistband was also collapsed in from wear. I really don’t know why, I checked against all of my jeans and I did put the fly on the correct side! Anyway, it’s done, and I’ll be happy to come up with a project that takes much less time. After I clean up the leftover bits— it looks like I used 7 pairs of jeans/shorts, so I have a lot of tops and leftover leg/waistband scraps!
