@SewAdagio On the sewing related gifts note, besides the fancy seam ripper with the Valentino book, my friend and beading mentor also gave me this adorable little sewing mouse ornament. I haven't decided yet if I'll put it with the tree decorations for next year or just hang it in my sewing room year round.

We broke for lunch and then came back with a portal ac unit plugged in to an extention cord from the house. Can't wait until they finished hooking up all the electrical and we have the mini split cooling the room for us - it was stupid humid today! #SewingStudioBuild
51 of 226 equilateral triangles made. I got a little more fabric because I want to add a more mid-tone pink to the pink triangles I laid out originally. So I'll be basting a few more new pieces, then swapping some old pieces, and finishing those pinks ones.

We ran a little late on the annual tie dye day this year, which ended up not being the worst thing because it wasn’t boiling hot! I dyed four things this year. The first two were thrifted garments. The denim shorts, originally white, were dyed with a special ice dye blend called Northern Lights.
The shorter dress was originally a light peach, and my inspiration photo for the color scheme had more of the peach showing, but I’m not at all mad that this turned out darker. It was a little too sheer for my comfort before. I used a navy, a purple (grape, I think?), and another ice dye blend called Rattlesnake.
The lace was a random spool of 100% cotton crocheted that I found in my stash, and I also did the Northern Lights on that. I thought the teal would pop out more, and I was originally thinking this for a top pattern I’ve had for years, the fabric I already have is a plain teal so I was thinking of embellishing for more interest. I may need to rethink that plan, depending on how this...
