Mood Fabrics posted these handy fabric care symbol charts recently and they're too good not to share! I knew some of these already, but some I had forgotten - if I even knew them ever.
The only thing not included that I regularly see on European things (like IKEA products) is a number in the water for the water temperature in °C (see last two photos).

I have decided on fabric color combination for a quilted Tamarak jacket (thinking it will be a shop display for selling a class at some point). I was actually able to shop my stash for all but the pale green I decided I like for the main background! I ordered a couple yards more of it after getting a half yard piece, and I'm really loving how the other colors pop on top of it.
See comments for design idea. Yes, I know - I'm a glutton for punishment because it's going to be a pain to piece!
I'm still trying to get past the sewing burnout from a few months ago, but earlier this week I decided to check out a new little sewing machine shop (Sewing Solutions Hub) that opened near me after I saw an ad in one of those local coupon/ad magazines that come in the mail. It was a nice little store and they have machines, some quilting fabric, Gutermann thread, and my favorite Tulip brand handsewing needles (I grabbed a pack of needles). Glad to see some little places popping up to fill the void left by JoAnn closing.
Since I only spent about 15 minutes there, I figured I should head a couple blocks over to visit Not Your Mama's Quilt Store to say hi and tempt myself with their fabrics. (It is a dangerous store!) I wasn't able to leave without getting the lovely plaid fabric in the photo.
