We broke for lunch and then came back with a portal ac unit plugged in to an extention cord from the house. Can't wait until they finished hooking up all the electrical and we have the mini split cooling the room for us - it was stupid humid today! #SewingStudioBuild
I finally finished the patchwork jeans! @SewBrooke , the elastic in the waistband suggestion worked brilliantly. I ended up taking it as close to the button/buttonholes as I could, because the waistband I originally picked had the buttons on the wrong side and I had to piece it together/the second waistband was also collapsed in from wear. I really don’t know why, I checked against all of my jeans and I did put the fly on the correct side! Anyway, it’s done, and I’ll be happy to come up with a project that takes much less time. After I clean up the leftover bits— it looks like I used 7 pairs of jeans/shorts, so I have a lot of tops and leftover leg/waistband scraps!
Considering Michael's bought the domain for Hancock Fabrics when it closed, this doesn't really surprise me. I hope this means they will actually start carrying fabrics and sewing stuff in store though - especially since I have a Michael's closer to me than JoAnn was.
